Crime Stoppers is targeting handguns and firearms to get them
off our streets. This major new initiative of Winnipeg Crime
Stoppers has been created in partnership with the Province of
Manitoba, the City of Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Police Service. Starting
today, until the end of June, Winnipeg Crime Stoppers will pay
double the award money, up to a limit of $2,000, for information
resulting in illegal firearms in Winnipeg being confiscated by
police.

His support fo the arts and his policies on urban renewal were admirable. And he certainly was an excellent spokesperson for Winnipeg on the national stage. But he also did his best to increase the democratic deficit at City Hall. He had an Executive Policy Committee rehearsal in his office before each regular meeting of the Executive Police his office before each regular E.P.C. meetings were really presentations to the reporters, and there was unanimity at all times.
